~Kasi Perkins of The Style Perk~

Kasi Perkins is a fashion blogger, leader, and great woman of faith. Journey with us as we discuss Kasi’s inspiration and hope for her brand in the future. You’ll also find out how to connect with and follow her!

Ndidi Love: Tell me a little about yourself:

Kasi: I enjoy keeping up with fashion, fitness, beauty (especially natural hair care), travel, and the latest pop culture. I love using social media for daily inspiration, and hope to help offer advice, inspire, and connect with others through my blog, The Style Perk.

Ndidi Love: What inspired you to start your own brand?

I work a regular 9-5 job that is not in the fashion industry, so I started my blog as a hobby of sorts to showcase my passion for fashion. I had been following a few fashion bloggers for a while, and I thought to myself “I can do that”. I was also interested in what opportunities may arise as a result of starting my blog. God has certainly blessed me with many opportunities through it!

Ndidi Love: What does the African Diaspora mean to you, and how do you best connect with the diaspora?

Kasi: I think it means having a strong sense of pride in being black, and in where you come from, as well as having a sense of community with others in the African Diaspora. I love celebrating the diversity, talents and contributions of our people.

Ndidi Love: If you could give back, what would that look like specifically?

Kasi: My pastor always talks about using our God given talents to bless others, so any opportunity that I can use my talents to help others is what giving back looks like for me. Whether it’s something as small as helping someone put together an outfit, or something more major, like participating in workshops that teach homeless women how to dress for success, as well as provide business attire to them.

Ndidi Love: Where do you see your brand in 10 years?

Kasi: Oh wow, that’s a long time from now, lol! Prayerfully my brand will have grown a lot, and will have made a much greater impact than where it is today. Hopefully it will have turned from a side hustle to my main career.

Thank you so much, Kasi, for sharing your inspiration, and your love of fashion with us! Be sure to check out Kasi’s blog, The Style Perk, at
