THIS MONTH IN HISTORY

On January 20, 2009; Barack Hussein Obama became 44th President of the United States. It is remarkable in that he served the people for two full terms as the first person of color ever to lead the nation. President Obama was born to an African father, and White mother, and was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is married to Michelle Obama, whom he met as a law intern; and has two daughters, Sasha and Malia. The Obamas are the first Black family to occupy the White House.

President Obama successfully served 8 terms and overcame much opposition. Him and his wife exemplified true class, grace, and style.

Our beloved first Black president will be missed. Thank you for all you did for this country, President Obama!
