An ethnic group or ethnicity is a category of people who identify with each other based on common language, ancestral, social, cultural, or national experiences.

Ladies and gentlemen, this post is for a unique ethnic group indeed, African-Americans. I know, some people may say, “we are not all the same”, which is true; but I believe that through our unique history of both oppression and victory, we share a common language. You see, we all hurt when one of us is mistreated, whether we show our hurt by rejecting the pain or embracing it. We share ancestral, social, cultural, and national experiences for sure; whether we have 1 or 20 things in common with our fellow African-American. At the very root of our commonalities, we are survivors. We have created something great by the grace of God. The world loves our music, fashion, and “swagger”. That’s not all we have to offer, but whatever we do, we can at least make it look good while we silently suffer inside. Black women are now the most educated by race and gender, still the least paid, but we are achieving great things academically and socially. We are mothering a people who the world seeks to hate, and we are dusting our shoulders off every step of the way. So here’s to my special and unique ethnic group, my Black people in America, who came here by force but survived by choice. In all things I give praise and thanks to God.

Remain blessed loves 💜
